Setting up your Managed Exchange Account in Outlook on Windows XP

When setting up an Exchange connection in Windows XP you need to follow these steps to ensure it connects correctly.

Follow these instructions on your computer:

1.    Ensure Outlook is closed.
2.    Click  Start -> Control Panel then Select Mail
 
3.    Select Show Profiles
 
4.    If you are adding an Exchange account to an existing Profile select the Profile and click Properties
 
a.    Then Click Email Accounts
b.    Click New...
5.    If you are adding a new Profile click Add and then Name the Profile
 
6.    Click Manually Configure Settings then click Next
7.    Click Microsoft Exchange then click Next
 
8.    Enter EXVS01 as Microsoft Exchange Server
 
9.    Tick the Use Cached Exchange Mode box
10.    Enter Username as the full email address
11.    Click on More Settings, cancel any pop ups that appear until you get to the More Settings Control Panel
 
12.    Click on the Connection tab
 
13.    Tick Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP
14.    Click Exchange Proxy Settings
 
15.    Under Connection Settings enter outlook.ozhosting.com
16.    Un-tick Connect using SSL
17.    Choose Basic Authentication then click Ok twice
18.    On the Microsoft Exchange Settings click Next
19.    Click Finish

This will allow you to setup and use your Managed Exchange Mailbox on Windows XP.
