This KB will explain:

•    How to find your Email Account details
•    How to ensure ActiveSync is enabled for your Mailbox
•    How to setup your Email Account on your Nokia E71

Warning: Please ensure you back up all contacts on your phone before setting up your Exchange connection as the addition of an Exchange account may alter your contacts list when first syncing with the Exchange server.

How to Find your Email Account details on the OzHosting.com Control Panel

1.    Navigate to https://my.ozhosting.com
2.    Login and Select Hosting
 
3.    Select Exchange
 
4.    Select Mailboxes
 
5.    Select the Mailbox that you need the details for
 
6.    In the Service User box you will find the following:
 
a.    Display Name – This is the name that is displayed in your recipients Inbox when you send an email via the Webmail Interface.
b.    Login – This is both your username and email address for this account
c.    Password – Hidden at first, you can click the Show Password button to view it.
d.    Enabled – This indicates if the mailbox is currently enabled or not. If not enabled you will not be able to login or receive email on this address.
7.    In the General box you will need the Windows Domain\user name details. This is your Domain Login information

Enabling ActiveSync on your Mailbox

1.    Navigate to https://my.ozhosting.com
2.    Login and Select Hosting
3.    Select Mailboxes
4.    Select the Mailbox that you wish to enable ActiveSync on
5.    Scroll down and click the Edit button
6.    Ensure the Checkbox next to ActiveSync is checked
7.    Click Submit. This will take up to 5 minutes to complete

How to setup your Email Account on your Nokia E71

1.    On your Nokia E71
2.    Highlight and Select Set up e-mail on your Home screen using the NaviKey
3.    Select Start e-mail setup from the menu that appears
4.    Select Start to begin entering information for your email account
5.    The setup wizard will need to access the network in order to complete your configuration. Depending on your operator contract this may involve some data transfer charges. Select Yes to allow the wizard to access the network
6.    Select E-mail. This screen will vary depending on what services are available in your country. The screen does not appear in every case.
7.    Enter your Email Address and Select OK
8.    Enter your Password and Select OK
9.    The setup wizard will take a moment to define your email settings
10.    Enter the Username that you normally use when accessing your Exchange email
11.    The setup wizard will notify you that this account requires additional setup. This is normal when using Exchange
12.    The setup wizard needs to know what kind of email server you will be accessing
13.    Select Mail for Exch.
14.    Select OK
15.    Enter outlook.ozhosting.com
16.    Enter the full name of the Exchange server, EXVS01.secure.hosting
17.    Select Yes to install the Mail for Exchange software
18.    Select Continue
19.    It will take a moment to install the Mail for Exchange software
20.    Mail for Exchange is used in place of other synchronisation software. It is important that you don’t use other methods to synchronise your contacts or you may lose data.
Select Continue after reading this notice
21.    You can use Mail for Exchange settings screen to change when your email is synchronised.
22.    Now you can access your Exchange email from your Nokia E71 messaging. You can access the Mail for Exchange settings and company contact search through the Mail for Exchange folder.
